As of today, the new This is Eindhoven website is live. In the past half-year the Eindhoven365 team has been working hard on a migration process and today, it is time for the soft launch of a new and improved This is Eindhoven.
Transformation of the website
In 2013, Eindhoven365 launched ThisisEindhoven.com as a website with a focus on basic information. In the past eight years, we have transformed the website into a content-driven platform for our target groups City Explorer and Bright Talent. This is Eindhoven plays an essential role within our city marketing strategy, and the world of digital media is changing faster than ever. That means that in the coming years we will have to keep up.
Digital Experience Platform
In early 2021, we decided to move from a traditional content management system to a digital experience platform (DXP). A DXP is a platform where websites, marketing tools, and other digital channels are fully integrated and all data works together, to ultimately provide a unique and personalized customer experience. It allows us to present content that better suits the user and thus run more effective campaigns. Our choice of system ultimately landed on Kentixo Xperience, a platform that complies with the latest digital standards and AVG requirements. Moving to a different kind of system meant that we had to find a new strategic and technical partner: Aviva Solutions.
The decision to migrate our website marked the start of an intensive six-month project with Aviva Solutions and graphic design agency George & Harrison. We had some wishes for the new design: we wanted to bring back the Eindhoven vibes and move towards more activating colors. In addition, we have improved the overall user experience. We have changed the website structure based on the interests of our target groups and we’ve started working with tagging.
A great milestone, but we're not there yet. In the coming months, we will continue to migrate the hundreds of content pages we have created over the years. In addition, we will add more features, design optimizations, and a webshop with our very own The Vibe clothing line will also go live this year. As of 2022, we will start implementing our personalization strategy.
