Eindhoven Keeps on Giving
Bureau Binnenstad Eindhoven and Eindhoven365 are launching a new festive campaign: Keep on Giving. The holiday season is approaching—a time when warmth, attention, and togetherness are more important than ever. This idea is at the heart of the new campaign. Eindhoven’s city center has been completely transformed with a wintery atmosphere, highlighted by the spectacular work of Luminarie De Cagna on Rechtestraat. In addition, more than 50 local businesses are participating in the Eindhoven advent calendar promotions. In short, Eindhoven keeps on giving.
The most human city
December is not only about giving gifts but also caring for one another. Throughout the month, various initiatives are taking place, such as the street sale of kaleidoscopes to raise money for Stichting Quiet, and proceeds from hot chocolate sold at the pyramid on the Markt go to the local food bank (Monday through Thursday). Events also embrace the Keep on Giving theme, including the Gratis Grand Kerstdiner voor de Medemens organized by StichtingFree Grand Christmas Dinner for Others organized by Stichting (Z)onderDak on December 9 and 10 at the Beursgebouw, and the New Year’s Eve Concert with the Guus Meeuwis Tribute Band at the Catharinakerk. This free concert takes place on December 28, with everyone welcome from 13:00 to close out the year together.
Eindhoven advent calendar at the Markt
The campaign also includes visitors. This year, the Markt is the centerpiece of the campaign, featuring a 12-meter-high advent calendar. Gifts are provided by more than 50 local businesses, counting down to the New Year. Visitors can win prizes such as a dinner voucher from Down Town Gourmet Market or an overnight stay at NH Collection Eindhoven Centre. Participating locations are displayed on the screen and feature Keep on Giving decorations in their windows. Visitors can also pick up a free Christmas card at these businesses, which can be mailed to a loved one via a special mailbox next to the advent calendar on the Markt.
Christmas activities
The city is buzzing with Christmas activities all month long. Choirs perform throughout the city, and the Piazza features photo spots including a giant Christmas tree. Later in the month, with a little luck, you might spot the Christmas train—or even Santa and his elf. Nieuwe Emmasingel is also decked out for the holidays with cheerful street theater, and you might encounter the enchanting angel roaming around. At De Heuvel, you can have your gifts wrapped at the gift-wrapping service, and Christmas workshops are organized for children. On thisiseindhoven.com, you can find additional extended shopping opportunities, events leading up to the holidays, and tips for entertainment during the Christmas holidays.

Collaboration and partners
This campaign was made possible through collaboration between Bureau Binnenstad Eindhoven, Bedrijven Investeringszone Eindhoven Centrum (BIZ), the municipality of Eindhoven, and Eindhoven365. The concept was developed by Megawatt. The campaign’s style draws inspiration from the vibes of Eindhoven and the nostalgic effect of a kaleidoscope.
