Update
The This is Eindhoven store & Open Eindhoven expo are open
Visitors and residents wondering what to do in Eindhoven or what the city’s future holds can now find all the answers in one place. Last weekend, together with the municipality, we opened the This is Eindhoven store and the Open Eindhoven Expo in the Heuvel. Here, Eindhoven365, Eindhoven247, and the municipality jointly tell the complete story of Eindhoven.
Openingsweekend
Before the store and exhibition were officially opened by aldermen Mieke Verhees and Robert Strijk, host Leon van der Zanden welcomed Eindhoven residents and guests. Together with Rik Dijkhof from fffunction.studio, the design studio responsible for the concept along with Envisions and Atelier van Asseldonk, he kicked off the opening ceremony. After a spectacular performance by Dance Giving, the big red button was pressed, officially opening the Open Eindhoven Expo and This is Eindhoven store.
For the rest of the opening weekend, visitors could personalize their own items or get an airbrush tattoo inspired by the city’s vibes. And of course, they could explore the store and exhibition themselves.
This is Eindhoven store
The This is Eindhoven store is the physical extension of thisiseindhoven.com, with its main goal being to inspire. Here, we showcase what’s happening in the city through content and sell Eindhoven-made products, including the official Eindhoven clothing brand THE VIBE and (design) products from local makers. Visitors can also book a tour guide or pick up a city map. After five years of running the Tourist Information Point at the central station, it was time for a new location —one that offers more than just information. We wanted to return to an inspiring space like our former brand store at Stationsplein, but with a fresh new look.

Open Eindhoven Expo
The space serves not only as a brand store. Visitors and residents can also discover what the future holds for Eindhoven. The city is growing, and with that growth come changes: more buildings, more facilities, more people. The Open Eindhoven Expo illustrates these developments through a digital exhibition inside the store and the design installation 'Planet Eindhoven' by Atelier van Asseldonk, located in the main hall of the Heuvel.
