Cheer on Oranje, with Eindhoven on your back

The football World Cup is almost here, and soon the whole of the Netherlands will turn orange again. And Eindhoven most of all, if it's up to us. To give the city's orange fever a boost, we created a special World Cup shirt with THE VIBE that celebrates both Oranje – the Dutch national team – and Eindhoven. Marc Koppen designed it.

The shirt is inspired by the classic Oranje shirts from the team's glory days. You might recognize the collar from 1994, the year of the thrilling quarter-final against Brazil. The black cuffs also featured on the shirt from the 1978 World Cup final, and the subtle pattern in the fabric reminds you of the iconic shirt from the 1988 European Championship – though of course, we swapped that pattern for our own vibes grid.

More Eindhoven touches

The love for Eindhoven doesn't stop there. On the chest, you'll find a small vibes patch, and on the back, in big bold letters, the number 1. Which is exactly where we'd love to see Oranje finish this tournament. We even used a special vibes font just for that 1. And below it, what else, simply: EINDHOVEN.

Photoshoot at FC Eindhoven

For the photoshoot, we were welcomed as guests at FC Eindhoven, one of the city's football clubs. Just this once, we were allowed onto their sacred pitch to show off our World Cup shirt at its best. And let's be honest: the bright blue seats in the stadium make a striking contrast with the orange shirt.

Limited edition
