Eindhoven is included in the Place Branding Hall of Fame of City Nation Place. In the 2020 City Nation Place Awards run-up, the platform shares 15 of their favourite cases from previous years.

Place Brand of the Year

In 2018 Eindhoven was crowned Place Brand of the Year, leaving Barcelona, Scotland, Helsingborg, and Estonia behind. The jury on the 2018 victory of Eindhoven:

"The place branding strategy of Eindhoven is a long-term project: serving the Eindhoven community, creating economic value, and making the city future-proof. But the real legacy is now in the pride of the inhabitants. The multi-faceted brand can be found throughout the city - even on the residents, who share their pride through tattoos!
